I am stuck with a particular problem. I need for my users to be able to email each other, but without revealing their email addresses. As such, the "email" field is set to "private" by default. The option to email a user via the contact form only seems to appear on their profile if they set the email field to "site members" or "public". See attachment for the link i'm talking about.

Is there a way around this so allow for users to easily contact one another without directly revealing their email addresses?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
sorry for late reply.

This is strange I have tested and works, "E-mail" button appear only if you have Joomla contact form linked with user, this because we have a Joomla contact integration.

You need to have Joomla contact linked for each users.
To do this automatically you need to enable plugin "User - Contact Creator", this plugin is included in all Joomla installations and is disabled by default.
