Hi,

I've read all the similar posts I can find but we are still having problems importing users. We are working on a staging site, which is backed up regularly, so no problems with messing anything up.

Can you please try the attached file and advise where we are failing? Each time we try we get an error, the last one being "Error Unknown fields: username"

Thanks for your help,

Alan

Hi,
when I open this file with Excel I see some strange char in first line (see screenshot). try to delete first line and rewrite it manually with some text editor tool like NotePad++

PS. I have removed your attachment for privacy purpose :D

Thanks for your help. I couldn't see the strange characters when I opened the file. After some research (which may help others with the same issue) I changed my Windows (7) settings to have the delimiter set to ";" rather than "," so I didn't have to find and replace all of these in Notepad ++. Search for "how to change field separator in excel". Strange it's a Windows setting and not an Excel setting.

I also used the import feature in Excel rather than the "open file". This way I could set the delimiter, see the columns and the they didn't all go under one column as I had before.

After doing this and another test import it worked fine. Now onto the import of over 10,000 members with multiple fields. I think I may need some further assistance soon though.

Thanks for a wonderful product and your excellent support.

Alan
