Resolved File/Image upload PDF not allowed

Hi im using the field type image. and it not allowing me to upload a pdf which is commonly used for image scans.
How do i edit or enable it to allows pdf files please

Hi,
unfortunately PDF are not images, it is a document like Word or ODT.
If you need to upload PDF then you need to use a file field type.

Hi, i understand that.
But for my profile I need it to be the image uploaded. I tried to use the other one but then the webcam does boot come out and the look of it is quite different. Could you please tell me how to allow Pdf into the image uploaded please.

Hi,
sorry but this is not possible with a simple way.

It requires many code changes and also it will have some limitations:
1) You can only use "Normal File Input" as upload method because pdf as images are not manageable with Javascript
2) This will not be compatible with all servers because it require some php extension
Due to these limitations we can not be take your request as feature request for future releases.
