I would like to translate fields and values.
Can I type language strings in the title like _translation_one?
Would this also work for value when I set them like this: value|_translation_value_1?

Hi,

Would this also work for value when I set them like this: value|_translation_value_1?
Yes, but I don't know if joomla accept "_" char at the start of string (I don't remember).
You can add from Extensions->Language Manager->Overrides your value for each language for _TRANSLATION_VALUE_1 constant.

Same way for titles of fields

Language Overrides do NOT work with descriptions.
It would be very usefull if it would.

Hi, yes this is a Know Issue and we will fix in next release. The problem is this: when you write description with HTML editor the description will result something like this:
<p>LANGUAGE_STRING</p>

the correct way is to disable the HTML text editor to have:
LANGUAGE_STRING
