In case log in by email is enabled its not possible to regsiter a user in the backend.
Error: username required

In Settings enable username OR email for login will show the username field in backend.

However! in case login is possible with email, for what do you need a username!?
In this case it should be username = email or make username not a required vield.

Hi,
it's a bug.
Username is required by joomla! we fix in the next release (Tomorrow).
When you choose login by mail the username is generated by Easy Profile, this is based on Name (not email because cause problems with SEF).
