Have you resolved the issue of the search box not displaying properly/ (see attached)

Hi,
no, this is not a Easy Profile problem. This is a template issue, your template have a bad style for Joomla Chosen Multiple input.

You can do this test, try to edit some article from frontend and check "Tags" parameter in "Publishing" tab (see screenshot)
