Hi!

Testing the plugin, I've inserted some accented characters in a textarea field, but it is displaying incorrectly.

What I wrote was (without quotes):

"Fotógrafo entusiasta, cinéfilo, apreciador de jogos de corrida, alguns jogos de tiro, aventura e terror. Fundador do site Espaço Automotivo, da BluWeb e do Portal Zpeed.\r \r Não gosto muito de expor minha vida pessoal"

What is displayed/recorded (with quotes):

"Fot\u00f3grafo entusiasta, cin\u00e9filo, apreciador de jogos de corrida, alguns jogos de tiro, aventura e terror. Fundador do site Espa\u00e7o Automotivo, da BluWeb e do Portal Zpeed.\r \r N\u00e3o gosto muito de expor minha vida pessoal"

The language is brazilian-portuguese.

This is a know issue.

in next release we will resolve.

Try this:
in file /plugins/jsn/socialnetwork/app/view/elements/lists/topics_list.ctp at line 22 remove "h" after "echo"
in file /plugins/jsn/socialnetwork/app/view/elements/lists/blogs_list.ctp at line 24 remove "h" after "echo"

Also, for User Profile Joomla plugin:
- I tried to insert some special char on your site and works. I don't know because at your profile do this.
- The date field have same problem as Easy Profile date field (but we have resolved). This not depend of EP, on our test site we have disabled all EP plugin, and the issue on User Profile happens anyway.

All problem with User Plugins are not related to Easy Profile

Hello.

So, you are telling me that there will be no problem with accents for new users? It's my profile record that may have some kind of issue? Well, if it is just my profile, it is no problem actually - I'll keep an eye on it.
Also, that I'll have to use Easy Profile to recreate all EP fields and disable it? I see it as a waste of resource, once because it already have created the tables in my DB, second because I already have those fields created...

But it's OK, I understand your point.

Hi,
sorry but I do not understand well.
I'm saying that:
- The problem of the accents in About field has not happened when I updated the Support profile on your site.
- The problem of Date of birth also happens on Joomla when Easy Profile is not installed and you set Timezone in Global Configuration with TZ Offset negative.

These fields are managed by User Profile plugin not Easy Profile.

Sorry, sometimes I can not express myself very well (english is not my primary language) - aside the fact that when writing something people may be misunderstood as saying something in a rude way, when it is not the intention.

1 - Ohhh, I thought that you said that the accents problem were only happening in my profile, for new profiles it would not happen anymore; Ok, now.

2 - Yes, this part I understood, that the date problem was caused by Joomla, and the User Extended plugin belongs to Joomla core, so you could not do anyhting about it. This is why I said that I would have to recreate all fields from UE, in Easy Profile and disable UE plugin.So, this is what I did: recreated all fields and disabled the UE plugin. I've set the time-zone to a negative because this is what it is here: "Sao Paulo - GMT/UTC -03:00 hour. Daylight Saving". Did I do something wrong about it?

do not worry! I know and I have the same problem! Our support team is 3, and only 1 speaks English decently (not me).;)
