Hi,

Easy Profile plugin is great but I have one problem:

When user fill out the registration form and click button "Register" he gets error message:

"An error was encountered while sending activation notification email."

But he gets activation email.

Also, I tried to test "Send test mail" through Admin panel - System - Global configuration - Server and that also works.


How can I fix this?

Hi,
after some investigation this message seems to comes when Joomla try to send the email to all administrators (to notify a new user), so please check that all administrators have a valid email address.

Hi,
Easy Profile extends Joomla user management (not replace), so the registration form and process is the same of Joomla.
Activation email is sent by Joomla, so probably you will find same issue with or without Easy Profile.

Anyway do you use a SMTP server or PHP mailer?

Hi,

Activation email is sent, the only problem is that user get error notification instead of redirection.

I use PHP mailer.

Can you please try to configure an external SMTP to check if the error comes from Mail Sender configuration?
