I'm using 'easy profile pro' to build a simple business competition. Competitors will create a profile consisting of various data elements (biz summary, product photos, sales pitch video, custom form fields, tagging, etc.) Once the profile is complete it will be available for review by judges who will assess viability for moving competitor to the next round of competition. The judges will need to be able to rate the competitor profiles.

In order to configure easy profile I need to know if I should use groups to separate the profile types: Competitor vs Judges? If I create two separate groups could I then set different field criteria and permissions. Example: Judges have access to view all profiles and voting/rating. Competitors have access to create/edit profile but NO voting/rating. Also the judges would only need basic login/profile data and permissions to review profiles and vote.

Please provide your advice on the best use of groups / permissions for this workflow. Thank you for your kind support!

Hi and sorry for late reply.

Create 2 different Usergroups and for each Usergroup a specific Access Level.

Judges have access to view all profiles
In Easy Profile options you can use the parameter called "Visibility Profiles". Set the parameter to "Custom Access" and set to access only for Judges

and voting/rating
Do you manage this vote/rating with an Easy Profile custom fields? if yes then the only way to do this without customizations is to hide these fields in edit profile and registration page and in Easy Profile options set the parameter called "Admins can show not editable fields in frontend" to "Yes" (see screenshot how understand how to make Judges as Admins)

Competitors have access to create/edit profile but NO voting/rating
With the above options each Competitor can access only to own profile (due to option called "Visibility Profiles";). Also they are not able to edit voting/rating fields because these fields are not visible in edit profile view (these fields will be available to Admins and in backend).
