I just purchased and installed Easy Profile Pro and am experimenting with it.
Is there a way to set up Easy Profile so that only a subset of the member list can be searched? We are a Professional Land Surveyor's organization. One of the services we'd like to provide the public is a "Find a Surveyor" function on our site. However, not all our members want to be included in that list. I can create a new user group for surveyors who want to be on the list. Is there a way to have Easy Profile display and search that list only instead of the entire membership?
Thanks.

I'm not a programmer nor developer and don't know the first thing about SQL. Where and how do I set custom parameters in Joomla? I've searched the web and can't find anything about how to do this geared towards beginners.

Hi,you can add into SQL Custom parameter this rule:
group_id IN (5)

replace 5 with Surveyor group id. You can find id of groups in Users->Groups in last column of group table

I'm not sure what to do with that information. I'm not familiar with SQL so don't know if I'm suppose to modify a file or what.
Assume I have these three user levels:
Public - anyone can perform a search
Registered - member of the organization who will not be included in the search
Surveyor - member of the organization who will be included in the search.

What do I need to do to restrict the search to only the Surveyor user list?

Hi,
sorry for late reply, it was weekend for us.

Yes, this is possible with "Custom SQL WHERE" parameter, see docs with examples at https://www.easy-profile.com/docs/69-sql-custom-where-list-and-module.html

If you need more help please reply to this post;)
