Hi

I would like to change the field displayed on the member map from the user name to a custom field, could somebody tell me if this was possible?

Hi,
sorry for late reply, you can override layout of module:
- Copy file from /modules/mod_jsnmap/tmpl/default.php to /templates/your-template-folder/html/mod_jsnmap/default.php
- at line 42 you will see a code to display 'name', you can change this with another fields alias.

With Joomla overrides you can also create many layouts for module, so for example instead default.php you can rename your override with another name (i.e. layout2.php) and choose this view from module options at Advanced->Alternative Layout
