I have EasyProfile Pro and installed the Import plugin. The "Choose File" link won't take any action and I can't alter the two options "Overwrite existing user" or "Send email". Also, where do we alter what the email notice would read to the user?

Also for your plugin, can you setup an export example so it would include the fields we have added?

Hi,
sorry for late reply.

The "Choose File" link won't take any action and I can't alter the two options "Overwrite existing user" or "Send email"

You have footer above the main content. add this directive to your CSS file
footer{clear:both}

Also, where do we alter what the email notice would read to the user?

The user read the registration Joomla mail.
If you want customize you can create a language override for Joomla constant: the constant are:
Subject of email: COM_USERS_EMAIL_ACCOUNT_DETAILS
Body of mail: COM_USERS_EMAIL_REGISTERED_BODY

If you are not understand follow these step:
- Go to administration->Extensions->Language Manager
- On the left menu click on override.
- Now you can create an override for these constant for each language.
If you want see the content of constant before override try this:
- Go to administration->Extensions->Language Manager
- On the left menu click on override.
- Click on New button
- On "Search text you want to change" paste for example this:COM_USERS_EMAIL_REGISTERED_BODY and set Searh for "content" (see screenshot)
- Click on search and you see the default joomla text for this constant.

Also for your plugin, can you setup an export example so it would include the fields we have added?

Example is in Instruction of Plugin.

actually went ahead and added this to one of the many css files

But, I don't know if an component, plugin or your template, but your site render compiled css not clear css, you must recompile or do something else.

Do you need FTP access?

Yes, if you want we do for you.

I was suggesting that it would be much more helpful to have the ability to export the existing user

Ok, in future we will develop.

Hi,
I found the problem, try to see the table on this page: http://www.acyba.com/acymailing/116-acymailing-send-process.html
Some provider limit number of email/for time.

What You Can Do:
Solution 1
- check the limit of your provider
- Go to administrator->Users->User Manager and delete all account that have not received the email.
- Re-import the users with many batch.
for example if your limit is 50 every 15 min,
set order of users for ID (last column in user table) leave all user, the first 50 users with registered date equal to import data have received, othert not (delete these). Now you can import 50 users at a time every 15 min.

Solution 2
Send a mail to all user with link to request new password. (you can get this link from login module - Forgot your Password).

Well you are right about the upload limit. I was not aware. This would be a great thing to include for your users in the instructions for your file upload tool.

I'm having HUGE problems with the Import Plugin. This tool does not like to accept file uploads. Any change to a doc in a spreadsheet seems to cause it to not accept the file. I've tried saving the doc dozens of ways, and it will accept the doc some times but not others. It would be great if you could PLEASE write up some full documentation on this with an EXAMPLE file. Your written example with names and semicolons would not get accepted for three reasons - naming conventions used and semicolon use.

To change the file try to use a simple text editor. ;)

Ive tried that. The problem is the upload tool works sometimes and spits out various errors sometimes. You really should create a decent example. Your example file doesnt even work.

The example not work because we have called email column with "mail" instead of "email". We have fixed and update the beta version.

Sorry but CSV is a simple text with delimeter.

Check this:
- whether the file can be opened with a text editor.
- In each file must be the declaration of the columns in the first row.

Attached to this post you can find a simple example (extract first).
