Hi,

We are using the pro version and want to offer a text area with an editor to our users when they complete certain sections of their profile. We built a custom textarea field with "editor" chosen as type in the "Options Text Area" tab. But as you can see by the attached fields the editor is not displayed.

We use JCE editor ad our default. We have tried to change the editor in the global config to tinyMCE but it did not make a difference.

How do we create a custom field that is a editor?

Thank you

Hi,
can you please post me your site details to check this? you can use the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab.

I thinks some permission problem of your editor.

Thank you for mentioning permissions. It was the clue that triggered us to dig deeper into the problem. Sure enough, it was a JCE component permission issue. Thanks again.

Hi,
probably you have a permission issue from JCE, normally JCE editor is not allowed for "Guest" (in registration form user is a Guest) or "Registered" users.

To check this we need your site details. you can use the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab.
