Resolved Easy Profile doesn't seem to respect Joomla's Remember me box

Hi[*]

Easy Profile requires me to log in again the day after though I've checked the Remember me box when signing in. Joomla says I'm logged in but Easy Profile requires me to log in again . The problem seems to occur after appr. 24 hours. Please help!

sorry but we can help you!

Remember box is managed by Joomla. The login form and authentication is the same of Joomla.

see at this file
- plugins/system/logout/logout.php at line 50 - this destroy the cookie after 1 day (86400 seconds)
- plugins/system/remember/remember.php at line 99 - this destroy the remember cookie after 1 day (86400 seconds)

These is core file of Joomla.

Thank you for your answer. It may be me, but I can't see how this would explain that Joomla remembers me being logged in but Easy Profile do not...

It's confusing to get the message that you're logged in and then asked to log in when you wan't to edit your profile ... once more? No problem editing Joomla articles.

If the core cookie is destroyed after one day shouldn't Joomla also require me to log in?

We did some testing. and no issue found.

This is a strange problem.

I confirm that Easy Profile can not be the problem.
The edit profile page is not from Easy Profile but from Joomla. The tabs are generated with a simple Javascript and fields with a plugin like User Profile plugin of Joomla.

Although it is not the Easy Profile problem we would like to investigate (always we try to help our customer), are you willing to leave your site details? if yes you can use the form below the reply in site detail tab. please specify if is a production, test or develop site

Ok,
from J3.3 when the user use cookie for authentication the system not allow to see or edit profile before of another authentication.

The problem become after 60 minutes when session expire (this time is set into Global configuration of Joomla). I have tried to set this to 1 minute to check the problem. and finally I have understand.

Easy Profile use Joomla com_users to get info for each profile.

I added a small patch to skip this problem on version 1.2.8. and I have update Easy Profile to lastest version on your test site.

Thank you. Could you please send me the updated version so I can install it on the original site? The one you installed it on is a sized down clone which was only created to illustrate the problem.
