Hi easyprofile-team,

when a user tries to update a hand full of fields in his profiel and inserts a invalid value in one of thos fields he'll get an error messagte while saving the data. The problem is that all updated fields will be reset and the user has to start all over.

Is there a possibility to save the valid data and just reset the wrong field values?

Thanks,
Chris

These behaviors are into Joomla core files.

Redirect code /components/com_users/controllers/profile.php
View with buttons /components/com_users/views/profile/tmpl/edit.php

Hi and thank you for your feedback.

I see your point. But would it be possible to add a 'save' button in addition to the 'submit' button? The user hits the 'submit' button and will be redirected to his profile. With just a 'save' button the user can fill in a field, save and continue with the next one.

Maybe you can give me a hint for the implementation - otherwise I just have to try....

Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
Easy Profile extends Joomla user management (not replace), so, registration and edit profile pages are the same of Joomla (tabs added via Javascript and Custom fields via User Plugin).

This behavior is managed by Joomla (not Easy Profile), anyway I think this is correct: if I see some field updated and some not changed then I not understand if and which modifications are stored.
