Hello,
in the installation of my customer, fields can be unpublished, but not published again. Setting the published drop down to published from unpublished or clicking the unpublished icon in the list view to publish the field again has no effect. It reloads the page and nothing has happened. Please help.

I have just tried with j3.7.3 and ep2.4.4 and works. Have you customized some file? can you please provide me your site details to check this?if yes than you can use the form below reply in "Site Details" tab

So I've investigated this further and found the issue. For some reason, the root node of #__jsn_fields was set to unpublished and thus whenever editing a field, it got unpublished as well. To keep this message "kid-friendly": That was a frustrating issue... Anyway, hope that helps others.

Hi,
I don't know the reason but sometime it happen also in other tables (Joomla Nested tables), for example, several times I found the same issue in #__menu in many sites.

Anyway we know this problem and in the install script there is a query that set to "1" the published column in a ROOT node (install.jsn.php after line 130).
