Hi there,
In the club site that I am running, members have the ability to hide their last names. So when I open the members list I see only their first name (see image 20). However, when I click on the name in that list and go to the profile, I still see the the last name in the heading, although the name under 'Details' is hidden (see image 21).
Is there a way to hide it there as well? If so, how?

Thanx,

Thom

Hi guys,
This is why I love working with you guys. Quick response and instant action to help!
1. Works like a charm. The name is now hidden in the heading.
2. I'm looking forward to it. Perhaps the new routing system of 3.7 will help (???).
Cheers,

Thom

Hi,
We use a members ID. Is it possible to use that?
For now this is not possible, we will add this in our TODO list ;)

In the url you see Joomla username, this is the only unique string that can be used for SEF purpose.

Hi there,
There is something else that bothers me. When I go to someone's profile page, I see their user name in the URL. In my case (image 23) that is my name, but for the rest of the members it is their email address (image 24).

That is not really a privacy proof way of displaying; it will upset some members. Is there another way to create the URL? We use a members ID. Is it possible to use that?

Thanx,

Thom

Hi,
ok this is a small bug, Custom Format is a recent feature and it do not respect privacy.

For now you can apply this small fix:
- Open file /components/com_jsn/helpers/helper.php
- At line 114 replace this code
$formatNameCustom = preg_replace("|$match[0]|", $user->getField($match[1]), $formatNameCustom, 1);

with this
$formatNameCustom = preg_replace("|$match[0]|", $user->getField($match[1],true), $formatNameCustom, 1);

We will add fix this in next release.

Hi,
this happen because the profile page title uses Joomla name, anyway try this:
- Go into Administrator->Components->Easy Profile->Options
- Go into tab "Core Fields"
- Set parameter "Display Format Name" to "Custom"
- Set parameter "Custom Display Format Name" to "{firstname} {lastname}"

Displayed name will be composed from Easy Profile custom fields (instead Joomla name), and with this way Privacy and Conditions should works.
