I know this isn't a feature right now, but is it possible with a little extra code to display a google map area

(like a country, a city, or even better a neighbourhood, based on a focus point with radius)

That shows pins of all profiles that are located within?

If those pins would be clickable to link to the profile it would be perfect !

Can you please help me out?

Keep up the good work, this plugin is the best !

With regards,

Dennis

Hi,
sorry for late reply.

Some suggestions:
- the latitude and longitude are stored in #__jsn_users table with this column name fieldalias_lat and fieldalias_lng.
You can get these data with a query.

- if you want a radius search you can build a query to do this like our search, you can see the query on /administrator/components/com_jsn/helpers/fields/gmap.php at lines 210~223

- to show the maps with marker icon->avatar and infowindow see reference link to Gmaps API.

I hope you can be useful.

We plan to make a module to do this, but we do not have a timing.

Super! For privacy issues I assume the exact user location will not be displayed only the rough range (maybe 50km)?

Thank you!
