I wanted to know if it is possible to create different types of profiles and let people choose between these profiles at registration. I am building a site for people who offer jobs and people who are looking for jobs, these two profiles have different fields and I would like to let the user select at registration which profile type they want.

Hi,
yes you can do this:
- Create a Select field with 2 options
profile0|Offer jobs
profile1|Looking for jobs

on this field you can make a condition, for example
Condition 1
if equal to custom value set to "profile0" show field1,field2,field3 and assign usergroup "Offer jobs"
Condition 2
if equal to custom value set to "profile1" show field4,field5,field6 and assign usergroup "Looking for jobs"

Thank you for your quick response, I tried to do the stuff above and it worked for that the user gets assigned to the right usergroupd, but the field "adres" which im trying to show at the registration form is not being show for this type of profile, I have added a printscreen, maybe I did something wrong. Thank you for your answer.

Yes it is, but I made it part of a group 'huisarts' which belongs to the usergroup 'huisarts' maybe the problem lays in there? See the attachements for further details.

then it shows at registration when I put public on the group, but the problem is that then we fields of this group also become visibl on the profile of the other group. I want one group of fields for one group and one group of fields for the other group which they both can fill in at registration. Is this possible?

Hi,
sorry for late reply,
Yes but you must to create a access level to allow this group for Guest and specific Usergroup, and assign this access level to this Groupfield.

When user go on registration page, he have permission for Guest group

Thanks for your reply, I managed to make it work, the problem I had after I made this acces level also available for public was that the menu items which belonged to the specific user group where now available for public. So I had to make two more acces level just for the menu items. For every user type I am needing now two 'acces levels', one for the field registration and one for the menu items which should only be availabe when registered. This seems to me a little bit 'unlogic', is there a way to use one acces level for each user type and still being able to register different fields at the registration and have different menu items?

Hope you can understand what im writing...

Hi,
maybe I have understand.

Sorry, for now no way, you must to have accesslevel for each usegroup for Easy Profile and for each group for Menu Items.

This seems 'unlogic' because you have conditions, if you remove conditions you will see all fields on registration (for guests) on registration and usergroups field for edit profile. So:
- All assigned to guest
- Some Field assigned so some usergroup

If you have suggestions on the best way please let us know ;)
