How does Joomla's ACL correspond to the (Social Networking) community ACL in admen. panel I see how to create a new user roll but I do not understand how that corresponds to the default Joomla ACL for example I have a basic user group & ACL structure Public, Guest, Registered, & Members,
Registration is free and registered user can view & edit profile and view community but not participate in the community functions.
After subscription the user is automatic placed in the (Joomla) Members user group and uses the (Joomla) Members ACL allowing access to the community functions.
My issue is that the community wants to use the default Joomla registration group. I can control access with default user roll in the admen panel but how do I reference and/or assign Joomla's Member ACL to a new user roll for new members. I do not want to manually move registered users to members roll in the community admen panel.
I am sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but the profile fields use Joomla's default user groups & ACL I just thought the social networking plug-in would use them to.

Is there a specific subscription extension that can control assigning a new user role upon a successful subscription.
Many subscription components (I think all) have a possibility to do SQL query on activate and expire subscriptions.

User Role is defined in table "#__jsnsocial_users" in column "role_id" so you can change this value to set roles.

Hi,
sorry for late reply.

There is not any relation between the groups and the roles of Joomla Social Network.

Al new registered users have default role "Member", so you can change permission for this role from Admin Panel->User Roles->Member->Permission.

You can also choose which plugin(photos,topic,videos,...) will be available for each role, try to go into Admin Panel->Plugins Manager->Choose some plugin->set permissions
