Hi

I don`t know if this is a bug, but I could find another selectable topic.

I have a problem with regards to navigation.

I don`t know if I have set up everything the right way, but can you take a look at my site and see whats going on?

I have page called "Medlemssider" which can be selected from the main menu.

When you enter those pages with the user provided you get the social plugin displayed.

But navigating inside the social plugin, shouldn`t that be separated from the rest of the site in som way?

Can you take a look?

Hi.

I think I got it.
But can you still just take a look and see if everything works as expected?
What a great solution, by the way. I looks really nice.

Hi Tommy,
there are some template conflict but you can solve by adding this code at file /templates/rt_myriad/css/rt_myriad-custom.css
.jsn_social .box2{
color:inherit;
background:inherit;
}
.jsn_social .list2 li{
border:none;
padding:0px;
}

Another Issue
You need to create a menu item of type Easy Profile->User Profile, otherwise all profiles page assumed menu item of Homepage

OK.
So I can`t or shouldn`t use the Easy Profile -> Social Network, like I do now?
It looks a bit more robust or gives me added value.

No sorry,
- Easy Profile require menu item Easy Profile->User Profile to get correct redirect
- Social Network Plugin require menu item of type Easy Profile->Social Network to works properly

To not show this in your menu so you can add the menu item Easy Profile->User Profile into new hidden menu (not in main menu)

Hi again!

Also, when clicking on the profile pictures in the solution I am redirected to the mainpage, which contains the social nettwork "module" ??.

Shouldn`t I remain inside the same page?

I have translated the Social Network plugin to norwegian. If the translation is something you want I can send it over.
yes please, we will check and include in future releases.

I have not managed to translate the administration panel. Which translation file should I use for this?
Easy profile is written with Joomla MVC model (social plugin not) so you will find translations in folders:
- language/lang-tag/lang-tag.com_jsn.ini (front end)
- administrator/language/lang-tag/lang-tag.com_jsn.ini (back end)

Also, when clicking on the profile pictures in the solution I am redirected to the mainpage, which contains the social nettwork "module" ??.
have you create a menu item of type Easy Profile->User Profile? if yes, have public access?

Yes. I did it now, and now I understand what you meant.
I have experienced the same thing with "menuless" items in Joomla.

Great. I looks nice.

Hi.

I can see that there are a guest on the system. I suspect that this can be one of the Joomla users.
What can they see and how does a guest become a member?

no, guest is a not registered user. this counter is not precise because count active sessions. it is built with same concept of Joomla "who's online" module to keep consistency.
What can they see and how does a guest become
with registration.
you can configure social network permission from Plugin manager in front end admin panel. for each plugin you can set permission based on roles

no, but probably this guest are you and your browser have created 2 sessions. don 't ask me why, is Joomla that manage sessions, we have only created this small module like Joomla built in "Who a online" module.

I can look into this some more.

But can you tell me how I can prevent readers of the site from seeing anyhing at all on the page where the social nettwork is?

They should log in to see the content.

ah ok, you can set access level on menu items. set access to registered or special in menu item of type Social Network.

if you want to hide also social profile page to keep standard profile page you can set access level on entire social network plugin from Administration->Extensions->Plugins

Hi,
you can do something like this:
- set menu item "Medlemssider" with access only for registered users (I know now menu item gone for guest users)
- create another menu item called with same name "Medlemssider" of type Users->login and set access only for guest users

now:
- guest user see menu item "Medlemssider" and this go to login page
- registered users see menu item "Medlemssider" and this to social network

tip: in menu item of type login you have a parameter to set redirect after login, you can set url of social plugin. so when user make login it will be redirect on social network page.

This solution could be useful for you?

Yes, Thanks.
This can work for me.

But what do you think about the one I proposed.
Is that OK enough? It feels allright, but are there any potensial traps?

Great with a couple of options.
