Hello, I too am having this problem.
The original ticket was raised https://www.easy-profile.com/support/new-user-activation-email-contains-formatname-as-username.html and I checked and noticed that the plugins are enabled as per your response.
Could you possibly have a look and see why this might be happening for me?

Hi,
I have tried to register an account from Backend and I have this email (Now we have deleted this account)
So it works
This happen in 2 cases:
- Javascript Error on your site
- Spambot attack (skip the javascript code during registration)
I think Spambot attack because:
- I see many user with this email domain "carhard.pl" never logged in
- Many users with "formatName" registered at the same time with different domains
- Strange username with "yahoo.com"
- And many other
Anyway, in the future release we will add a server side(no more javascript) format name creation.
