Hello, I'm checking out Easy Profile and have a few questions.

1. I don't wish to display some of the custom internal Joomla! User Fields. Can I disable all or some of them from being displayed?

2. I have another table in my database that stores some user information. Can I use Easy Profile to display and edit them? For example, I have a separate table (that is synced from another DB of mine) that stores some other details on the user. This could perhaps be done with some custom SELECT and UPDATE operations, if allowed by Easy Profile.

3. I wish to disable the "Editor" (and some other options) from being edited or displayed and/or only displayed for specific user groups. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for your response.

Hi and thanks for your interest.

1) Unfortunately Easy Profile allow you to manage only own fields. There is a way to hide Joomla built-in Custom fields but require a small template override of the profile page.

2) If these fields works like all other Joomla user plugins then yes, it could be possible. Easy Profile extends Joomla user management (not replace it), so the registration and edit profile page is the same of Joomla with many improvements.

3) This is possible but not thanks Easy Profile, it is already allowed by Joomla, you can disable it from Administration->Users->Options, the parameter is called "Frontend User Parameters"

Based on your questions then I recommend you to try the free version to evaluate if our product meet your requirements :)
