Hi,
in this site we use following configuration:
1) Set the menu item of type Users->Login as screenshot 1, in options "Login Description Text" we have following code to show the description and social buttons:
<div class="log1">Sign in with <span>Social Networks</span></div>
{socialconnect}
<div class="log2"><span>or</span></div>
<div class="log1">Sign in with <span>username</span> and <span>password</span></div>

The code {socialconnect} will be replaced by social buttons (see "Social Connect Buttons Everywhere" section at http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/social-connect-intro )

2) Disable in Easy Profile options to show social buttons in login page, the social buttons are showed by previous code (see screenshot 2)

Of course to style the "Login Description Text" we have a bit of css code in our template, I attach our CSS code but in your template could be a different result
div.log1{
font-size:22px;
line-height: 1;
padding-bottom:40px;
}
div.log1 span{
font-weight: 900;
}
div.log2{
height:14px;
border-bottom:1px solid #ccc;
font-size:22px;
font-weight: 900;
margin-bottom:50px;
}
div.log2 span{background:white;padding:0 20px;}
.login .zocial{font-size:12px;}
