Hi

I have the following issues:

I keep on getting a loop after regsitration on after the client first login and updated the extra information request.

I searched the forums but cannot get any reference to the same issue.

1. In components -> Easy Profile, there is now further buttons showed. Is this correct?

2. Must both the Joomla User Profile and the Easy profile - User Plugin be published? I have unpublished User-Profile and only use Easy profile

3. Must the joomla login module be activated and positioned or will a menus item login pointing to Menu -> Menu Item type = Registration Form suffice?

4. When a client register and activate there account, it seems that all the info is saved. When the client now login additional information is required? The client enter the information through the tabs and each time select save as they progress. Some information is now not saved and the the update keeps looping back to the Registraion menu. How do I resolve this?

5. Also the Avitar is not saved. Is this because the Joomla user - Profile is not active?

Thanks

Can you please post me your site details to check this behavior? if yes then you can use the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab....probably you have enabled parameter "Force the compilation of required fields" in Easy Profile options.

1) Can you please explain me better? for example with screenshots
2) You can use also both plugins, Easy Profile extends Joomla registration (does not replace) so all Joomla plugins will works with Easy Profile. "User - Profile" is a Joomla plugin installed and disabled by default in all Joomla installations, it add some extra field to the profile
3) Easy Profile extends Joomla user management, so registration page is the same of Joomla (menu item of type Users->Registration), it is the same also for Joomla login (menu item and/or module)
4) have you checked if you have some error message in Components->Easy Profile? if yes then you need to follow the instruction otherwise please post me your site details to check this behavior
5) if you mean plugin called "User - Profile" then not, this plugins is not required by Joomla. Instead the plugin called "User - Joomla!" need to be enabled because it is required by Joomla (with or without Easy Profile)

Thanks. It seems better since I have unpublished "User - Profile". It careated a separte profile tab on completion that you have to reenter the same information as the fields that I added in Easy Profile

I think it my be correct - Dont think Easy profile has any further menus in the component tabs of admin.
Yes, this is correct.

Why would the information after update not save in the user's profile?
try to check these things:
- All registration menu items should have access set to "Guest" (already registered members does not need registration menu item)
- Following Easy Profile plugins are enabled: Easy Profile - Authentication plugin, Easy Profile - System plugin, Easy Profile - Users plugin
- Try to disable options "Force the compilation of the required fields on login" in Components->Easy Profile->Options (button at the top right)

If all these things does not works then please post me your site details to check your configuration, you can use the form below the reply in "Site Details" tab

If your system does not save the user's profile then you can also try to temporarily disable these plugins to identify the problem.

If the problem comes from one of these plugins then probably you need to check their configuration.
