Hi,

I'm trying to build a 'select' list in easy profile with 5760 citynames of the Netherlands.

I think the number is too large, 'cause when I try for example 500 it works. Is there maximum on this value? And how can this be changed or is there a way to make it work?

Hope to hear from you soon, thanks in advance.

Hi,
sorry 5000 are too many. Keep in mind that with 5000 options you will have 5000 rows of HTML code. So, in most of cases you will have timeout error.

The only way is to use 2/3 select fields (Country->Region->City or Country->City) like this video https://youtu.be/QNGiTKNbbsY

You can set something like this by get data from DB (see screenshot), for more info about this see the tips in each parameter

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response!

The video-link doesn't work. Youtube says the video is unavailable.

Is there a way to connect this field with Google Maps, so that the info doesn't have to be provided by me? It would be nice if the person registering could choose his location through Google Maps and that there will be a map on the profile displaying the location.

Do I understand correctly that I have to paste this code? And in which file?
No.

- Download and install (with some SQL tools like PhpMyAdmin) example DB with City Country and States from https://github.com/hiiamrohit/Countries-States-Cities-database, in your database you will have 3 new tables.
- Create first Select field called "Country" and set Parameters as in first screenshot
- Create second Select field called "State" and set Parameters as in first screenshot
- Create third Select field called "City" and set Parameters as in third screenshot

Thanks,

I think I'm almost there, but I can't seem to install the DB correctly.
Please check out the screenshot I provided.

I get that error...

Do I have to select a database from the list on the left? If so; which one?
