I have the same problem as described in the question "Totally empty numeric fields". I have tried to modify template.js (see attached) but numeric field are stored as 0 (zero) even if I leave them blank. Please afvice

Hi,
you have right but this is not simple to fix for 3 main reasons:
- Numeric Field comes from Joomla API, and it interprete empty as 0
- HTML5 numeric input works different from each browser, so when it is empty can have different behavior
- Mysql store a 0 when integer type is empty

To solve we recommend to use Text field type, you can set custom format to allow only numeric values (see screenshot)
