I think the idea to offer a social network plugin great but in my opinion it doesn’t fit many use cases as its done at the moment. It’s all very static and doesn’t integrate well.

Since its possible to integrate EP with other components (blog, gallery etc.) its already close to fulfil all community functionalities.

What is missing and what is close related to EP would be one component that offers:

Contact Management System!
- Report System (System where user can report another user)
- Blacklist (Blocked users)
- Friends (Friends / Open Requests / Sent Requests)
- Visitors (Your Visitors / Visited Profiles)
- Favourites (Your Favourites / People who put you on their favourites)

Message System!
At the moment Uddeim is the only system that can be used together with EP and its OLD, rich in functionality but still compatible to Joomla 1. The layout is unusable.

I am 100% sure when you would feature this you would increase EP premium subscriptions and you could sell this as an extra “community package”. I am writing you this because I love EP and the flexibility it gives you with Joomla user profiles, lists etc. For me it’s the best component to build user profiles and all that BUT with this integration above it would be a killer.

I think J4 is already in feature freez. I was thinking to give this into freelance development but since you say it will come I wait.

Yes, but for now this is not a priority, in the coming months there will be the release of Joomla 4, so developing a big plugin now would require other big changes in a short time.

So our plans are to wait Joomla 4 before develop something like this.
