hi there,

this is very urgent because the site is a productive live system:

"Suddenly" our users get the error
"Some required fields are not filled, please complete your profile"
whatever they do and thus cannot log into the system.

The error probably shows up since the last update.

We do have a few required fields. But the error persists also when all fields are filled.

The following jsn-setting is enabled:
Easy Profile Configuration > General Settings > Force the compilation of the required fields on login
The error goes away when we disable the setting.
But we can't do that because we use required fields.

[Setup]
- Jsn 1.3.11 (should be PRO)
- Joomla 3.7.0
- Php 5.5.9 (This is very old and will be updated asap. Could this be possible the reason for the situation?)

Looking forward to your quick reply,
Ben

Hi,
I'm sorry but Easy Profile 1.3.11 is not compatible with Joomla 3.7 :(

It should be compatible with Joomla 3.4 and below.

wow, that certainly would have been nice to read before / in the update process.
anyway - if I renew my subscription and buy basic now:
- is the current basic version compatible to joomla 3.7?
- how do I update? Do I simply download the new component, (re)install it by uploading, and all my users, settings, fields and field data will be still there?

thanks for your advice,
Ben

Hi,
sorry for late reply, it's too late and our offices are closed :D

I'm sorry, but there is a link to chengelog in the update process and in download page: http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/changelog

Of course, keep in mind that after 1.3.11 we have released nearly 30 versions.

Yes, you can download latest version and install it from Joomla Installer, it take all configurations and fields, please only take a look to release notes before upgrade at http://docs.easy-profile.com/search/upgrade, and, of course, with an upgrade like this (version released 2 years ago!!) we recommend to make a backup before.

Update:
No open_short_tags is on, and everything seems to work ok.
I will close this thread now.
Thanks again,
Ben
