I would like to recreate what you have on your user profile edit and registration.

I want to have a select list with professions and the last option be other. When the user selects Other a new text field appears to let him enter free text.

Hi,

my configuration

1. Create Text Field called "What do you do"

2. Create Select Field type called "Your Job" with these configurations:
- Options:
job1|Job 1
job2|Job 2
other|Other
- Condition 1
Operator: Equal
Compare with: Custom Value
Custom value: other
Target field: "What do you do"
Target action: "Show"

Both fields have "Public" ACL and shown on Registration and Edit Profile pages.

I will check it later (I am on mobile now).

Probably I hadn't set the conditions correctly.

Thanks a lot.

No,
condition have 2 ways so condition work so:
if equal to Custom Value "other" then show "What do you do" field then hide "What do you do" field

Conditions is set into Select Field?
Can you please post me a screenshot of your condition?

I think I tried this and I think that "what you do" was not hidden.

Do I need to do something to have it hidden in the beginning?
