Hi,

This is a serious issue.

the updates in home screen keep dropping. For example,if my site users are uploading photos, the update about new picture being uploaded get removed after a few further activities . i could barely see 6 updates on home screen.

i need to maintain the updates on home screen for at-least a month and user should be able to perform "Load more" to see old updates.

does comments/like works the same way
Yes
will a update get posted on home screen if a topic/photo/album are commented each time

- when you post a comment in Topic then the Topic activity go to head, and you will see comment as activity comment. (subject is always Topic)
- when you comment a photo then you will create a new activity, if you add another comment, previous activity will be updated (subject is comment and you can't comment this activity)
- when you comment album then the Album activity go to head, and you will see comment as activity comment. (subject is always Album)

I know that it is not easy to understand, but this is a very complex plugin.

Sorry but this is not a normal behavior. Maybe is due to some your customizations.

See for example on our demo site at http://socialnetwork.easy-profile.com/, we have activities in more than 2 months ago.

Well,,,it seems its happening in your site too..for same album its keeps only the latest notifications on home screen .

is there a way to preserve the home screen notification for at least a month irrespective of even if its for same album?

if i added photo A to album A today and see the update on home screen, so if add photo B to Album A next time, will i lose the update for Photo A on home screen?
ok this is normal, it is not dropped, it is updated. Comments on this activity are the same of album. We not want many activities for the same album.

Keep in mind that this is a Social/Sharing platform (not gallery manager or logging platform)

is there a way to preserve the home screen notification for at least a month irrespective of even if its for same album?
No sorry.
