Update from EasyProfile Pro 2.2.3 to 2.3.1 ended up in a blank screen. Frontend or backend is the same, only blank screen and website is unavailable.

Someone seen this before and have a solution on how to bring it back? (other than using backup)

Hi,
sorry but to access into backend I need also HTTP authentication credentials.

If backend not works then I need to access via FTP.

The only error message I can produce is:

Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: syntax error, unexpected 'ini_set' (T_STRING), expecting function (T_FUNCTION)

By adding these line at the end of configuration.php:
ini_set( 'display_errors', true );
error_reporting( E_ALL );

So what can be done with this? I have never had any problems with updating EasyProfile before...

I don't see how new code can be in a "wrong position" , unless some code in the updatescript puts it in the wrong place?

in the posted error message I see only that error is into code

ini_set( 'display_errors', true );
error_reporting( E_ALL );

the code is correct but seems in a bad position.

anyway, to find the problem with Easy Profile we need FTP access or Backend access (if works).

So what can be done with this? I have never had any problems with updating EasyProfile before...
No other customers have reported this problem, so I don't know, but to find it we need to see your site.

Hi,
done, now works.

I found different versions between plugins and component, I have updated file /administrator/components/com_jsn/defines.php from latest version and now works.

Have you installed single packages manually?

I have not installed any single package manually, just those 2 files I mentioned.

In backend it still shows version 2.2.2.

After correcting permissions on those 2 files, I can try to update again and see if all gets updated this time. I might be more files that are not updated I guess since update apparently was interrupted.

I listed out the files that was changed at the time I did the update, and it seems to me it should be more files updated.

I really appreciate your effort and help.

Thanks for excellent support.
