Good morning.
until some time ago, a new user would log in the first time and redirected to his "User profile" menu item where he'd be forced to accept the privacy as the first thing. Everything worked well.
Now, I just realized that after the log in, the new user is not redirected to his user profile menu item (it ends up in the home page instead) and therefore he can't accept the privacy. This means the user can't reach his user profile or do anything with it.

I think it's a matter of accepting the privacy (which is in fact not possible anymore since the user profile menu item is no longer accessible by the new user) because if I withdraw the privacy consent for a user who had previously accepted the privacy, the user is unable to access his user profile menu item anymore, as said above.

I'd appreciate any help in solving this.

Thanks,
have a good day.

thanks for the reply.
No, there is no error message, but this is the url

/component/users/profile?layout=edit&Itemid=537

where 537 is the id of the home page. I think the user ends up on the home page because he can't land on the user profile menu item

Hi,
to fix it please try to create a menu item of type Users->Edit Profile.

With this menu item you will have correct routing (example /edit-profile instead /component/users/profile?layout=edit&Itemid=537), also when you have the menu item you can associate templates and/or specific modules. If the menu item does not exists then the edit profile page inherit home page configuration and unfortunately some template does not show component section in home page
