Hi,
in the User List menu item there is a parameter called "Avoid Empty Search", you can set it as prefer. Also if you want to hide all users if is not sent any search parameter you can set to "No" the parameter called "Show all members at the entrance of the page".

Yes if the map module is synchronized with the menu item (so by enabling module option called "Sync with User List" )

Are you sure? Which version have you? This feature was implemented in version 1.3.9 (more than 6 years ago)

You need to search it in map module options.

on search module or list menu ?
There is not, because it not make a sense in these positions. This option allow to the map module to show only the users in the current user list/table menu item. So for example if you have an empty result then the map does not show any user.

Hi,
this is an option of the Users Map Module:
- Go to extensions->modules->choose the map module
- Scroll down until you find the option (it is the last)
