Hi there,

All of our fields are not required for certain profiles. It would be nice to give the user the option to choose a Profile type (linked to a Joomla group) on registration so then he/she will only be able to view the specific fields for that group, and we will be able to make some fields required but only to specific profile types.

Not sure if this is the way to do it, if possible this will definitely be a very nice feature.

Thank you.

Regards,
Jh

Hi,
for user type you can refer here.

For Usergroup based on field type we plan to develop a plugin to do this (we not give a timeline).
But if you hurry we can develop according to what you need (will be 10 lines of code). We are not freelance but if customizations are simple there is no problem.

For required field. sorry but Easy Profile can not manage the required attribute dynamically, this is too complex. Maybe in the future we will do it but now we have many other features to implement:
- integrations with other component (first with acymailing)
- Usergrop based on field value
- The big plugin Social Network (some screenshot http://www.easy-profile.com/del/social1.png http://www.easy-profile.com/del/social2.png http://www.easy-profile.com/del/social3.png )

Sorry for late reply but it's weekend for us and I write from a smartphone.:(

Can you add those 10 lines of code for us? Never mind the required fields.

We will contact you via mail.

I see the frontend users list is only readable. Is it possible to make it editable for all manager groups. This ability will also extend EasyProfile to a complete frontend user manager.

Sorry not possible,
Easy Profile integrates with joomla (Registration and Edit Profile) thanks to its plugins.
This, however, has limitations. In the frontend you can not change the profiles of other users (Joomla does not allow). Not even for the administrator.
You can edit profiles only on backend.
