In my setup I need to approve members before they are able to log in to our website.

It would make a lot of sense to have a front end list where admins can check the profiles and then approve or disapprove.

Also as it is now the activation email ist ONLY send when the admin enables the user by cklicking on the respective link in the admin mail. In case admin approves a member from the BE list NO approval email is send to the user.

I understand that this is how the joomla usermanger works but is there any way to enhance this?

the first solution is certainly more simple. administration is limited by users component of joomla.

I try to do it next week.

Mail on user delete plugin is very very simple. Joomla have a event called onuserdelete. The plugin only send mail when this event is triggered.

What about a plugin that sends the activation link when enabled in the backend?

You ones provided one for user deletion - that worked perfect.

Yes, but it requires a lot of code to be developed.

Maybe in future we do.
