Hi Guys,

On registration people fill in spaces but it is a + in the result after saving.

Maybe only on a phone and maybe iPhone i get + signs instead of spaces in the name and other fields.
For me it looks random but probobly there is one device that is converting wrong.
Do you have any idea how this can be fixed?


I am running on 2.4.4 and have send 2.000 users to subscribe so updating is a bit risky if there is a bug i do not know yet :-D
But if i know this bug is fixed in the newest version it is worth the try!

I'm sorry about this, we have realized this problem some days ago, and we will fix this in next release. To fix it you can install attached file, it will replace our system plugin with system plugin from a coming soon version.

When and Why this happen?
We have added a feature in version 2.4.4: when there is some problem during registration (only during server side validation, for example like username or email already taken) then it redirect you to registration page, before version 2.4.4 you will see registration form not filled (because Joomla reset fields), from version 2.4.4 you will have registration form with filled data (so it resume your previous data). This feature is very useful and allow user to not re-fill all registration form.
Unfortunately it create some problems with space char. In version 2.4.5 we have partially solved this problem, but there is still some minor issue.
The problem comes when you have a bad server side validation only in some circumstances.
Now we have found a finally solution and it will be included in the next version.
