Hi,
I have connected all 4 social media pltforms to my joomla account
when a guest views my profile they can click onthe twitter, g+ and facebook link and they are correctly referred to my profiles on the respective platforms.

Only Linkedin does not work? When you click on the linkedin link, you are redirected to your own linkedin profile?

here is my profile for testing: https://www.lerendeleiders.nl/profiel/ruud

Hi,
you need to re-login with linkedin account to update user information. now in "Ruud" account is not stored URL id.

In your site at https://www.lerendeleiders.nl I see version 1.3.5 (older)

Hi,
now works (https://www.lerendeleiders.nl/profiel/Fiorino_De_Santo), but there is one problem. the link go to private profile page, so only member of your network can see your profile.

we can implement Public Profile URL but there would be other problems:
1) Public Profile URL can be changed from user
to retrieve Public URL we need to have Access Token, so we can update this only when user do a login via Linkedin, you risk having invalid URLs
2) User can have many profile URLs
in this case we would not know which one to use
3) Not all linked Users have public profile URL

in the future we could implement the direct link to the public profile with linkedin, we only need to study the best solution.

Maybe as a future option being able to disable the button, so only for login inor registering, but not clickable for other users in the profile
You can already do this, there is a parameter called "See links to social network on profile" in Easy Profile options (but this affects all social link not only linkedin)

Maybe something to think about together with the 'unregister' functionality?
This is a hidden feature already present. We need to write documentation on this.
Now if you want "unlink" some social you can create a link with this URL:
Facebook: index.php?option=com_jsn&view=facebook&task=unset
Google plus: index.php?option=com_jsn&view=google&task=unset
Twitter: index.php?option=com_jsn&view=twitter&task=unset
Linkedin: index.php?option=com_jsn&view=linkedin&task=unset
