Hello,

I'm trying to let a specific usergroup (publisher) manage user in frontend.
Therefore I created a radio field in easyprofile, where you can select between two usergroups, the user shall be added to. That works fine, but:
The user himself is not allowed to see this field.
When i choose "visible for publisher" this field is only visible, when the user is publisher, but it shall always be visible when a publisher is just editing a normal user.
How can i manage this?

- Registered user can not change Usergroup field (edit profile)
Set to not show field on edit profile (screen 1a)
- Registered user can not see Usergoup field (profile)
Set to not show field on profile page (screen 1b)
- Author can see Usergroup field of all users (Author and Users !) (profile)
This is not possible with a simple way,you can manage this with template override or some other workaround, for example a workaround is to put in your page a Joomla Custom HTML module that show this field for displayed users (module should be available only in profile page and with "Special" Access, screen 2). To show user field in a module you can use out content plugin, see docs at http://docs.easy-profile.com/index.php/article/content-plugin
- Author can edit Usergroup field of all users (Author and Users !) (edit profile)
Set in Easy Profile configuration to "Yes" the parameter called "Admins can show not editable fields in frontend" (screen3)

Hi,
Sorry but I'm lost
When i edit my own profile...it´s perfectly visible (because i´m an author),
Strange, if you followed my previous post this field should be hidden, because Author have special right, so it have the hidden field that hides "Usergroup" field.

Please do not explain me the problem, explain me what behavior you expect, so I need a schema like:
- Registered user can not change Usergroup field (edit profile)
- Registered user can not see Usergoup field (profile)
- Author can see Usergroup field of all users (Author and Users ?) (profile)
- Author can edit Usergroup field of all users (Author and Users ?) (edit profile)
- .....

Hi,
I don't know if I understand well you question. Anyway I will try to reply.

You can try to manage this with Hidden field type and "Available for" parameter:
- Create a Hidden Field type
- Add condition like screenshot for this Hidden field type: if equal to custom value (leave empty custom value) hide radio field to change usergroup
- Set "Available for" parameter to "Special", with this the hidden field will be available only for Special users (like Publisher)

So as the result you have Hidden field available for Publisher (not available for normal users), and the condition of this field hide/remove radio field from profile.
