Hi,

as much as enjoy the capabilities of the search module, is their a possibility to create a small search plugin that would look up Social Plugin's members' names and link to their Social Plugin profile pages? This would be excellent for ajax search tools.

Thanks! will try it.

One question before I do: I do not identify users by their usernames and do let them know usernames of others (you provided me with an amended router.php in the past). I think the search plugin does look for usernames.... Can I limit it to only search for names?

Hi,
we have develop a basic search Plugin, you can try by installing the attachment. Also after installation you need to enable plugin "Easy Profile - Search Plugin" from Extensions->Plugins

Now it's basic, in future we will improve it (show custom fields in description and allow to search in custom fields).

Please reply with a feedback :)

it seems that this component takes the results from the search plugin for Joomla, in this case we will definitely.

We already plan to make Joomla search plugin ;)

First, thanks for the fast replies!

What I meant was a plugin, not a module. I would simply like to retrieve profile search results using a module, like Universal AJAX Live Search, for instance, and be able to navigate to the found profile(s) by clicking on the result.

Hi,
Social Network plugin is young*, in future we will improve and adds modules, plugins and integrations with third-party components.

Anyway can you explain better what you mean by "Search Plugin"? search module, integration with Joomla com_finder(ajax search) or API to retrieve JSON results for Ajax purpose?

* very very young, missing also documentation, so we offer for free for all our Pro Members.
