I upgraded to the latest version the other day and today I noticed that one of my select fields were not showing in the profile. Also the other database fields showed up in the wring heading.

I went into the admin and decided to see what would happen if I said to not show it on profile and after doing so - the following error appeared with a warning triangle next to the field: "Missing a Column in DB for this field. You must delete and re-create."

I can't even display or see this filed in the User's profiles in Admin - it is now blank! i have about 300 users and this is one of the most important fields.

I saw somewhere it may be an issue with using "_" in the alias name.

Can you please see if you have solve this for me. Please don't tell me the data is gone!!!

PS. I also upgraded Joomla today and I am not sure when this error occurred.

I do not understand how it happened,
in the latest version we have changed something in the alias field, now the character '-' is replaced with '_', but this should not happen with the pre-existing fields. This avoids some problems for future implementations of new types of field
In addition we have also added a checker for consistency of the database.

It's happening again. Please see my post of July 28 above. Just added new Options Select Field to this same field again as I needed to add more Leadership teams (ML24, ML25) - and the SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. I can no longer see the Leadership Team field on any of the profiles and it has a warning triangle. Please help!!! Look at the history of this thread so you understand what happened.
