Hi
We use the following {user avatar_mini} command to show the profile image of the author of an article. That works fine, only some profile images in the frontend are not visible. Apparently, that is only the case if one uses a space in the username. How can we fix that so that the profile pictures are always visible?

Hi,
ok, found the issue, content plugin works with user ID, it can works also with username but the space will not works with content plugin if contain spaces.

All content plugin use a word as parameter but if you have a space (for example My Username) then the result will be something like this {user avatar My Username} and parameters will be :
user: which content plugin
avatar: param 1, the field
My: param 2, the Id of the users
Username: param 3, nothing

Unfortunately there is not way.

It is designed to work with IDs but why works also with usernames? because to find user data we use Joomla function "JFactory::getUser()" and in case of usernames it still works, but it is only a case.

Hi I understand that it is not possible with a space in the username, but is it possible to limit the input of the username in a profile to a username without a space? So in options username field, set the custom format so that only contiguous characters without a space are possible? I don't know how to set that up.

Yes, this is possible, set the username parameters like screenshot (Components->Easy Profile->Choose Username).

With this configuration the only chars available are uppercase (A-Z), lowercase (a-z), numbers (0-9) and chars like "-" and "_"
