This website is for job applications. I cannot post the URL due to my NDA. One of the fields I have set up is a "File" field, allowing users to store their resume on their profile as a PDF or Word document.

However, when a user attempts to delete their resume by checking the "Delete" check box and then clicking Submit, the system responds by complaining that they did not enter or confirm a password, and that the email address is already in use. It appears that the code is attempting to create a new user rather than update an existing one.

Is there a way to resolve this?

UPDATE: The problem was that I was accidentally using a mix of Joomla system menu items and the Easy Profile menu items. Once I switched to all Easy Profile items, the issue cleared up.

Hi,

But before check this:
When exist menu item for registration and not exist menu item for edit profile, joomla redirect edit profile on registration item id. So try to create menu item of type Users-> Edit profile page.
