Currently avatars are stored under /images/profiler/*
- This causes a potential problem where there are thousands of users. If you imagine a site with 50K users or even 10K users each uploading a few avatars over time (x two for the full size and mini). This would be one very large folder of images. I think it would be nice to store these in user folders or at worst groups of folders by something alpha (or different for different languages).
- It would be nice to have the option of choose the location of the avatar folder eg under media rather than images or even above the public_html folder for those servers that are allowed

this has not yet been done, we waited to implement something different.

Now all fields (image type) of all users are stored in the same folder (/images/profiler/), our idea is to add an option to split the files for each user, so like
/images/profiler/501/avatar....jpg
/images/profiler/501/another_field....jpg
/images/profiler/502/avatar....jpg
/images/profiler/502/another_field....jpg
....
/images/profiler/ID_OF_USER/avatar....jpg
/images/profiler/ID_OF_USER/another_field....jpg

Also we plan to add another option is to choose main folder.

In future we will implement also Image Format option, now all files are stored in JPG

Do you have a planned date for this or at least dividing into folders. I will go live soon with Easy Profile and I have 60K users on my server. Assuming even 1000 upload an avatar (in fact I have more than 5K with avatars from when I used Jomsocial and migrating them would be feasible), regardless even 1000 x 2 images would be too many. Of course I could hack the code so place the images in user folders but I rather use the default system.

Thanks
