When a user sees his own profile the view level doesnt work.
In other words: He will see the fields made visible only for other ACL group where he is NOT included.

Right that is a work around however I am still not sure why a user should see content that is by setting visibility to a higher ACL group prohibited to him.
Because is his profile.
As if you set the profile visibility for administrators, everyone can see your profile.

What you want to do is something a bit special, because this has little to do with user profiling.

in any case, I understand that it is not clear, the labels and the Tip are a poor in our backend. We will improve in future.

Try to insert the code in HTML module instead Delimeter.

In module set Prepare Content on Yes and accesslevel on special.

a link to the backend is not just something inherent in profiling.Sorry for the wrong suggestion.

is right. this rule is compatible with "profile visibility" in the options of EP.
The user can view his profile and his fields.

I think this is most useful. Example: in profile is normal view own email, but is recommended to hide for guest user. With privacy option the user can choose who can see the field, with visibility is administrator to choose this.
